About the Author

Jaxx Summers is the type of person many wish to be: uninhibited and unafraid of creating her own version of fact and truth, whenever necessary. I guess you can say that Jaxx is in the perfect field. She loves the written word and its capabilities, while forcing readers to let themselves loose in unforgettable worlds she weaves with tapestries of words.

Finding this world often too monotonous and uninspiring to settle for every single day, Jaxx strives to surround herself with supernatural and paranormal memorabilia through her books.

In 2014 Jaxx published her first title, “Samaria: Warrior Princess”, as a paranormal writer. She previously explored relationships and culture, prior to taking on the alter ego of Jaxx Summers. This versatile author enjoys exploring the limitless potential of the unknown, while still showcasing a variety of regions.

Jaxx's sampler contribution

1. Why did you decide to tackle the paranormal genre?

The paranormal genre was an obvious choice because of my love for current works. Upon speaking with fellow author Dormaine G., I was encouraged to test the waters. Since doing so, I can't imagine not living a dual life any longer.

2. Please tell us a little about Samaria: Warrior Princess and how you came up with the concept..

Samaria: Warrior Princess is the first book in a short story series. It is about an African Princess and a Viking with a taste for blood. The first book in the series explores exactly how the two came to meet.

One day, as I was taking a nap, I dreamt that I was a powerful warrior princess during the Mali Empire, in the 10th Century. The dream was very vivid, so I immediately took to building a storyline. Since the vampire legend did not begin until years later, I tried to build the story off of distant legends. Moreover, I had to do sufficient research that would allow for a Viking to end up on the African continent, much less with an African princess.

3. Have you given up writing under your real name?

I have not abandoned producing titles under my real name; however, I am steadily trying to establish myself as Jaxx Summers.

4. What has been the most rewarding about venturing into the literary field?

Other than pushing myself to take on various topics, the most rewarding aspect of my journey has been interacting with readers and other writers. Much of this journey has made me feel at home. I have met some of the most fascinating readers. Ones that have become vested in my growth, as well. As for the writers I've come to know as friends, they are remarkably talented. These groups of individuals have made this experience worthwhile.

5. With the exception of your current release Samaria: Warrior Princess and Carnem Levare, what can readers expect?

Readers can expect "Jaxx" to continue on with the Samaria series, first and foremost. There are many stories that need to be told, but I am particularly looking forward to write about myths from the Caribbean.

Q & A with Jaxx Summers

We are born, live and eventually leave the mortal world. For Stefano Bonaro the same can be said, with a powerful exception. He was born to live and love in Venice, beyond death.

Stefano is passionately in love with Anastasia Soranzo. They grew up with the promise of a future together, through family bonds and emotional ties. Then suddenly their lives are torn apart by unforgivable deception. For the sake of family, Stefano and Anastasia can no longer have a future together. While Anastasia can easily move on, Stefano refuses to do so.

During Eighteenth Century Carnival, Stefano seals his fate when he commits a crime of passion that ends with him even taking his own life. But this is not the end for the jilted lover, when he is suddenly brought back to life a year later. Stefano's spirit continues to hope in love, even as he becomes ruled by madness.

But will it ever truly end for Stefano Bonaro?
